Nutritional Supplement Firm to Expand Product Lines, Enhance Wholesale and Retail, Consumer Distribution Channels

VISTA, Calif.--October 13, 2011--Shareholders of Global Health Trax (GHT), one of the most trusted names in the nutritional supplement field for its digestive health expertise, have elected three veteran business and financial executives to its board of directors as part of its growth strategy.

The privately-held company also announced that it had secured a long-term contract with the exclusive and confidential manufacturer of its popular Threelac and Fivelac probiotic products to meet increasing demand. In an additional strategic move, it has contracted with Algae Biosciences, Holbrook, Ariz., for the exclusive global rights to its unique algae-based Omega-3 output to establish a foundation for development of long-term product lines in the nutraceutical, food ingredient and animal markets.

“These agreements for unique resources and exclusive rights will enable us to expand our marketing, sales and distribution platform with additional product offerings, driving growth in 2012 and beyond,” stated Jim Rex, president and CEO of GHT and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Health Specialties Manufacturing (HSM).

Named to the Board were Rex; Bryan Geisbauer, managing director of Studley, Inc., who will be chairman; and Martin Stroiman, president of Builders Funding Corp.

Rex was recruited in 2009 to lead a turnaround at GHT and HSM. With an extensive background as both a consultant and executive, with expertise in strategic planning and financial systems, Rex has a history of transforming financially and operationally troubled companies into profitable corporations. After joining GHT, Rex developed a results-oriented problem solving infrastructure, new financial strategies and controls, plans for market expansion and a sharper focus on the customer, which have resulted in consistent profitability for GHT and set a strong foundation for future growth. HSM, a nutraceutical formulation and contract manufacturing company, operates a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA compliant facility at its 48,000-square-foot Vista location.

Geisbauer, of San Diego, has spent the last ten years of his career developing real estate strategies for major clients, including national law firms, professional service firms and Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Studley, Geisbauer was responsible for the San Diego operations of Newmark Knight Frank. He is a board member and past chairman of the MIT Enterprise Forum San Diego. He is the secretary for the Business Executives Council of San Diego. He has taken an active role in the community, serving on the San Diego Bowl Game Association, (the producers of the Holiday Bowl and Poinsettia Bowl), as the chairman of the sponsorship committee.

Stroiman, of Rancho Santa Fe, has more than 30 years’ experience in real estate sales, financing and lending. He was previously regional director for Coldwell Banker Subdivision Services and executive vice president of Conventional Funding Corp.
